Obituary: Naomi Coffey, 91, Adair Co., KY

She was a member of a prominent Northwest Adair County family. She was a member of the Columbia Baptist Church and was a Licensed Practical Nurse

Naomi Coffey, 93, a resident of Summit Manor Health & Rehab, Columbia, KY, died Saturday, October 10, 2009, at 9:30amCT, at Summit Manor.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at 2pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. David Coffey and Bro. Darrell Coffey officiating. Burial will be in the Fry Cemetery in Green Co., KY. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Monday, October 12, 2009 at the funeral home.

Naomi Coffey, Adair Co., KY. (1916-2009)

Naomi Coffey, Columbia, KY, was born October 5, 1916. She was the daughter the late Olie and Nettie Dawson Coffey. She died October 10, 2009, at the age of 93 years and 5 days.

She was a member of Columbia Baptist Church and had been a Licensed Practical Nurse.

She is survived by the following:
  • One sister: Wayne Pickett, Columbia, KY

  • Six nieces and three nephews: Rebecca Curry, Greensburg, KY; Roberta Thompson, Smiths Grove; Joyce Rodgers, Portland, KY; Sue Grant, Liberty, KY: Donna Jones, Rockfield, KY; Jean Smith, Florida; Carol Harmon, Atlanta, GA; Stanley Harmon, Mt. Sherman, KY; and Clayton Garrison, Greensburg, KY
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters: Ray, Winfrey, Quannah, and Carol Grey Coffey; Kathleen Squires, and Gertrude Garrison.

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
