November 2, 2009 Genealogy Meeting on Veterans REUNIONS and GENEALOGY By Ernestine Bennett, ACPL Genealogy Librarian Adair Co. Public Library, 307 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY The Adair County Genealogy Society and the Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, will present a power point presentation on Military Personel, for our November 2, 2009 Genealogy meeting. We will be collecting photoss and information for that meeting. All photos may be brought to the library or may be taken to Curry's Floor Covering, 102 Fairground ST, Columbia, KY, to be scanned. At either place, the photos will be scanned and will be given back to you that day. If you have any military persons, past or present, and would like to add them to the power point along with the photo give a description such as name, where they lived, military branch and time served. This is a way to show our appreciation and save history of our veterans. If you have any questions you can call Lee Ann or Ernie at 270-384-2472 or Lila at 270-384-4817. Deadline for photos and information is October 19, 2009. The Adair County Review is a quarterly publication of the Adair County Genealogical Society, it is received by all members of the Society. It is published in the Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Membership is open to anyone interested in the preservation of history of Adair County and the surrounding counties of Casey, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell and Taylor. Annual dues are $15.00. Membership can be mailed to Adair County Genealogical Society , P.O. Box 613, Columbia, Ky. 42728. Membership renewal is due in January of each year. Meetings are held at the Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg St. Columbia, KY., and are held on the first Monday night of each month. Meetings begin at 6pmCT.
