CU honors Dr. Betty Griffin, Delquan Dorsey, Sr., Dr. Lincoln Bingham New diversity web presence announced by Vice President Chowning News from Campbellsville University African-American leaders, Dr. Betty Griffin, and Delquan Dorsey, Sr., were honored with a Campbellsville University African-American Community Leadership Awards at a luncheon on September 30, 2009. At the same event, Dr. Lincoln Bingham was honored with the Campbellsville University Leadership Award. The awards were presented by CU Board Chairman Dr. Jay Conner, and CU Vice Presidents Dr. Frank Cheatham, and John Chowning in the Chowing Executive Dining Room of Winters Dining Hall at the university. Dr. Griffin is chief executive officer of The Griffin Group. Delqan Dorsey, Sr., is executive director of the the Governor's Office of Minority Empowerment. Both serve with Vice President Chowning on the Kentucky Long-Term Policy Research Center Board. Vice President Chowning announced a new diversity presence on the Internet, at Campbellsville University Diversity Program. Dr. Lincoln Bingham receives CU Leadership Award Dr. Lincoln Bingham was honored at the luncheon with the Campbellsville University Leadership Award. Dr. Bingham is senior pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church in Shively Heights, Louisville, KY. Larry Martin, missions consultant with the Kentucky Baptist Convention, showed a print of Dr. Bingham and announced that a documentary of Bingham's life is being made for television.
