Lucy Frances White, 95, Metcalfe Co., KY

She was a member of a respected Metcalfe Co., KY, family. She was retired from Sorenson Industries, Glasgow, KY; and she was a member of the Pleasant Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church

Lucy Frances White, age 95, of Edmonton, KY, died Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at the Glasgow State Nursing Facility in Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services for Lucy White will be held 1:00pmCT Thursday, October 1, 2009, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1pm until 8pmCT, Wednesday, September 30, 2009, and after 9:00amCT, Thursday, at the funeral home.



She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nannie McCandless Martin.

Lucy was a member of the Pleasant Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church and retired from Sorenson Industries in Glasgow.

She is survived by the following:
  • Jer daughters.Louise White and Betty (Tommy) Thompson. all of Edmonton, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Teresa White Welsh and friend Richard Hamlett of Edmonton. KY; David (Pam) Thompson of Berea, KY; and Joey (Roxanne) Thompson, Orland, IL

  • Seven great grandchildren: Brandy (Jason) Wood, Amber Ervin, Megan (Alan) Deweese, Tiffany, Hannah, Timmy and Nathan Thompson

  • Five great great grandchildren: Brianna, Lexis and Jayden Wood, andAllie Jo and Kyndal Deweese

  • And several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Joe White; a son in law Floyd White, granddaughter, Rebecca Ervin, and four brothers and four sisters.

Butler Funeral Home, Edmonton, KY, is in charge of arrancements.
