Obituary: Mary Jane Bryant, 57, Adair Co., KY

She was a member of a respected northwest Adair County Family. She was a member of the Russell Springs Church of the Nazarene and a homemaker

Mary Jane Bryant, age 57 years of (the Millerfield Community)1974 Millerfield Road, Russell Springs, KY passed away Saturday, September 26, 2009 at 4:55 A.M. at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KYafter a short illness.

The funeral service will be Monday, September 28, 2009 at 1:00pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Ronnie Campbell he officiating clergy. Interment will be in the Bryant Cemetery, 5390 Sano RD, Columbia, KY. The family requests visiting after 4:30pmCT on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home.



Mary Jane Bryant, Adair Co., KY (October 8, 1951 - September 26, 2009)

Mary Jane Bryant was born October 8, 1951 the daughter of the late Jake and Danford Price Stargel of Adair County, KY and died September 26, 2009 in Lexington, KY at the age of 57 years, 11 months, and 18 days.

She is survived by her husband, E.P. Bryant Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Jason Bryant and wife Charlene, Liberty, KY, andJessie Bryant and wife Kim, Russell Springs, KY

  • One step son: Edwin Dale Bryant, of Florida

  • Two brothers: Jimmy Stargel, Louisville, KY,and Jerry Rector, Columbia, KY

  • Two half brothers: Gordon Stargel, Columbia, KY, and Willie Stargel of Louisville, KY

  • Two sisters: Darlene Hale, Louisville, KY, and Doris Jean Holmes, Columbia, KY

  • One half sister: Alta Grider of Columbia, KY

  • Five grandchildren, two step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • One special friend Gertrude Kerns, Columbia, KY
She preceded in death by these siblings Dallas Stargel, Clarence Stargel, Tom Stargel, Betty Stargel, Clemmie Rector, Nina Rector, Ora Lee Daley.

Mrs. Bryant was a homemaker and member of the Russell Springs Church of theNazarene.
