Lindsey Wilson Volleyball downed by Campbellsville 3-0 Rally which put LWC ahead 20-19 in second set cut short by CU kills By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY - Spirited efforts in the second and third sets were cut short as the Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team lost 3-0 (13-25, 21-25, 22-25) to Mid-South Conference foe Campbellsville University Monday at the Powell Athletic Center, 203 Tiger Way, Campbellsville, KY. The Tigers and their raucous crowd stymied Lindsey Wilson in the opening set, but the Blue Raiders were able to bounce back with a commendable comeback effort later in the match. Lindsey Wilson (2-13, 2-3 MSC) appeared on its way to a 1-1 tie after rallying to take a 20-19 lead in the second set. However, Back-to-back kills by Campbellsville sophomore Samantha James gave the momentum back to the Tigers as they finished off the frame. The third set was a close affair all the way through as well, with attack errors being the Blue Raiders' Achilles heel that led the Tigers (13-3, 4-1 MSC) to their fourth conference victory. Junior Rachael Achieng and freshman Ashley Haworth led Lindsey Wilson with six kills each. Haworth also added four service aces. Two Blue Raiders finished with double figures in digs as freshman Andrea Taylor and senior Sarah Kline collected 15 and 10, respectively.
