LWC conference streak without a loss now 57 By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director RIO GRANDE, OH - The Lindsey Wilson College men's soccer team won a battle of top-10 teams tonight with a 2-1 win over host University of Rio Grande (Ohio) at Evan Davis Field. The Blue Raiders (4-1, 1-0 in the Mid -South Conference) move atop the conference standings with the win handing the RedStorm the loss in their inaugural game in the MSC. Rio Grande joined the Mid-South as a full member over the summer. No. 4-ranked Lindsey Wilson opened the game's scoring in the 33rd minute on a penalty kick from sophomore Moses Aduny to give the Blue Raiders the 1-0 lead. Aduny -- the team's leading scorer -- was tackled inside the penalty box and followed the foul with his third goal of the season for the lead. The Blue Raiders maintained the lead until the 65th minute when Rio Grande's Rafael Maccauro scored the equalizer for the No. 8-ranked RedStorm. Lindsey Wilson sophomore Michael Azira netted the eventual game winner in the game's 80th minute off freshman Lebogang Moloto's assist. Azira's game-winner is his team-leading second of the season. The win extends the Blue Raiders conference streak without a loss to 57 games. Lindsey Wilson is 55-0-2 against Mid-South Conference competition since the 2001 season.
