Vacationing in Beautiful Adair County, Holmes Bend Mr. Waggener, We are renting a cabin in Beautiful Adair County, Holmes Bend, September 27, 2009. There are (3) couples of us. We are planning on having a great time. We will be doing some fishing, some sightseeing and celebrating my husband's birthday, 39 again. We are looking forward to that great town of Columbia, and all the great southern food. Thanks, s/Claria Contact information on file You couldn't choose a better place or season. Hope you bring a camera, and fast a little before coming to Adair County so you'll be able to "thank God for capacity," as columnist Tom Chaney is wont to say as a mealtime benediction. The grazing is awfully good year round, but food seems to taste a little better with a hint of fall chill in the air - especially coffee and country ham. This story was posted on 2009-09-20 04:37:59
