LWC Women's Soccer hosts KELME Classic this weekend Three nationally ranked, another which received votes in national poll will perform in Columbia, KY, this weekend, Friday, September 18, and Saturday, September 19, 2009 Click on headline for story with photo By Dan White, Assistant Sports Information Director Three ranked teams and one receiving votes in the NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll converges on Columbia, KY, this weekend to take part in the KELME Classic hosted by Lindsey Wilson College at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Blue Raider DR, Columbia, KY. The No. 4-ranked Blue Raiders are scheduled for two games in two days starting at 7pmCT on Friday, September 18, 2009, against seventh ranked Martin Methodist (TN) College.Lindsey Wilson wraps up the KELME Classic at 7pmCT on September 19 against No. 23-ranked Graceland (IA) University. Graceland and Trinity Christian, a team which received votes in the last poll, kick off the classic at 5pmCT on Friday. Trinity will play Martin Methodist in Saturday's opener, also starting at 5pmCT. Lindsey Wilson is 2-2-0 this season against ranked teams. It will have the opportunity to improve that mark this weekend with back-to-back games against ranked opponents. Martin Methodist enters the classic with a 3-1-0 record, including a 1-1 showing against ranked teams. The Redhawks' last game was a 2-1 win at the University of Mobile (AL) on September 7, 2009. The Blue Raiders own a 5-4-0 record all-time against Martin Methodist. Graceland (3-0-2) has not faced a team ranked in the current top 25, but is yet to give up a loss and boasts a 1-0 record on the road. Lindsey Wilson last faced Graceland in the second round of last season's national tournament, where the Blue Raiders won 1-0 on December 3, 2008. LWC is 1-0-2 in three all-time meetings with Graceland. Trinity Christian holds a 1-2-2 record, while maintaining a spot in the receiving vote's category of the national poll. The Trolls, which advanced to the NAIA National Tournament semifinals last season, tied 12th ranked McKendree (IL) University on Sept. 11. The Blue Raiders enter the weekend with a 4-2-0 record, including wins in their last three contests. Lindsey Wilson topped fifth ranked Lee (TN) University 1-0 in its most recent game on September 12, 2009.
