Lindsey Wilson Volleyball Wins Second Straight, Sweeps Pikeville

PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College volleyball team picked up its second straight win with a sweep of host Pikeville (KY) College on Tuesday at Pikeville College Gymnasium.



The Blue Raiders improve to 2-6 overall and 2-0 in the Mid-South Conference with the 25-18, 25-14, 25-22 win. Pikeville falls to 2-6 and 0-2 in the MSC.

Lindsey Wilson freshman Ashley Haworth led the Blue Raider hitting attack with 10 kills in the match. Senior setter Kelley Burke and freshman Andrea Taylor combined for 39 assists, while sophomore Rachael Anderson led the team with 17 digs.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Thursday, September 17, as the Blue Raiders host MSC foe University of Rio Grande in a doubleheader at Biggers Sports Center. First serve in the first match is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT. The nightcap will follow approximately at 7:30 p.m. CT.
