Flu shot clinic at ACHD, Monday, Sept. 21, 2009 A flu shot clinic will be held at the Adair County Health Department, 801 Westlake DR, Columbia, KY, on Monday, September 21, 2009. Shots will be given by appontment only, with clinic hours running from 8:00amCT to 3:30pmCT. This vaccine is for the seasonal flu, not the H1N1, commonly referrred to as swine flu. This clinic is open to all adults. Everyone is encouraged to schedule their annual flu shot at this time, especially high risk patients and thier household contacts and caretakers. High-risk patients include those 65 years of age and older, patients with cancer, chronic diseases such as diabetes, asthma, and other respiratory illnesses, heart condititions, pregnant women, and healthcare and childcare workers. The cost of the vaccine is $23.00 and is covered by Medicaid and Medicare Part B.
