GRL crappie fishing guide David Jones on KET today, tomorrow

Segment with Gradyvillian was flimed in Adair Co., KY

A segment of the "Kentucky Afield" tonight will feature Green River Lake Fishing Guide David Jones showing host Tim Farmer how real fishermen get incredible crappie catches at the lake. The show will be broadcast tonight Saturday, September 12, 2009, at 7:30pmCT/8:30pmET and again tomorrow, Sunday, September 13, 2009, at 2:00pmCT/3:00pmET on KET 1.

The visit to Green River Lake, in addition to the great crappie catch, included a thrilling moment when the party almost landed a huge Green River muskellunge--but the four-pound test crappy line wasn't enough to land the monster.

Anyway, it probably wasn't as big as the Kentucky State record muskie, a 47-pounder caught by 15 year old Sarah Terry of Mt. Sterling. That will be featured on this weekend's "Kentucky Afield" shows, too."Kentucky Afield" is the longest continuously running outdoor television show in America.David Jones is Director of Student Transportation at the Adair County School District, and is consider one of the best, if not the the absolute best, fish cooks in Adair County.
