Cyclist injured in Holy Cross motorcycle-motor vehicle collision

An injury collision occurred at 8:15pmET, Wednesday, September 9, 2009. in the limits of Holy Cross, in Marion Co., on KY49.The collision occurred when a 2000 Kawasaki motorcycle, operated by William Musgrove, age 19, of Loretto, was traveling southbound on KY49 and attempted to make a right hand turn into a private drive and was struck in the rear by another vehicle, which fled the scene and was not identified.



Musgrove was not wearing a helmet and was transported by Nelson County EMS to the Flaget Hospital in Bardstown for injuries including a broken leg. The collision is under investigation by Trooper Donnie Moses, of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, who was assisted at the scene by Nelson County EMS, Marion County EMS, Loretto Fire Department and Marion County Rescue.
