By Shamarie Claiborne

Today I had the pleasure of spending the morning with Sonny and Trilbu Vance. What a blessing these two individuals are to me and our community.

I helped them with a few computer issues and the rest of the time was filled with good conversation and laughter.

Sonny has converted CV school into beautiful residence

Sonny has turned the old Cane Valley School into a home full of beautiful wooden creations while Trilby has added that creative touch only she can.

While Sonny was making me a little something in his wood shop, Trilby and I explored the grounds.

There are beautiful flowers and two of the sweetest kitten/cats you have ever seen. They are Sissy (the gray) and Maude (the black and yellow). They, of course, paid no attention to us and went about their playful day.

Roses are blooming and view is from a picture book

Trilby's roses are still blooming and the view from their front yard of the Cane Valley Christian Church is straight from a picture book.

Overall, It was a great morning and they blessed my socks off with their hospitality and genuine friendship!

"Trilby: Beauty is everywhere in this lovely, gracious Adair Countian's life. Her hibiscus and roses are gorgeous," an opinion surely shared by butterfllies and moths, bringing even more of nature's beauty to the Cane Valley home, themselves," writes Shamarie Claiboren.

Sonny and Trilby: The best view of Cane Valley landmark

From their hilltop, Sonny and Trilby enjoy the best view of the dominant Cane Valley landmark, the steeple of the Cane Valley Christian Church. Appropriately, it's intricate craftsmanship parallels in many ways the art of Sonny Vance's woodworking creations, which have earned a reputation of outstanding quality and attention to detail.
