Adair FFA has sold over 200 Address Markers! ACHS students are having impressive impact on drive to make every home, school, play ground, church, and cemetery safer Adair County High School FFA advisor Kirby Hancock said Friday, September 4, 2009, that at the chapter has now gone past 200 markers sold since starting the campaign on August 26, 2009. The FFA takes orders and delivers the finished Address Markers for $15 per sign. They are also making simple painted posts for those who needing posts. When Post Office boxes are in the yard at the address, the markers can be affixed to the mail box standard. If not, the posts offer a simple and attractive standard to put in yards. Posts are only $5 and come with all hardware needed to attach. The posts are relatively easy to install by simply driving them into the ground. Hancock is happy with the pace of the promotion at present. The students are keeping up with production. For now, they will continue taking orders in person and making deliveries. Later, he said, the FFA may expand the effort to allow phone in orders. The chapter is also considering ways to accept donations and erect the signs at cemeteries and as gifts for friends, relatives, and for those who would want Address Markers but the expense might seem too much for their budget.
