Volunteer service most enjoyable time of life

About: Barbara Armitage: Improving Adair County by the numbers

By Bobby D. Morrison

Right on Barbara, Keep on Preaching and maybe some will hear. The natural tendency of human nature and most humans is to point out problems/opportunities but wait for someone else to do the heavy lifting.

However, they miss the satifaction and fullfillment of making the World a better place by giving of themselves. Many people will give you money and support but the "Greatest Gift We Have to Give is to Give of Ourselves." Plus the most enjoyable times of my life have been in Volunteer Service, partly because you meet so many pure wonderful people.

I've recently seen the Garden Club at work and the wonderful results. Very dedicated people with a "Passion for Making a Difference."Keep up the good work.

If we want to improve our community and make it a better place to live we Adair Countians must do it ourselves.

All the goverment programs, grants, etc. cannot begin to do what we Adair Countiians can accomplish if we dream, get passionate and involved.

Thanks, Barbara Armitage, for your and the Garden Club's wonderful work.
