Obituary: Diana Elizabeth Lemmon, 58, Adair Co., KY

Diana Lemmon was a member of a large, respected Pellyton, KY family and was a member of the Barnett's Creek United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She was beloved for her kindness, her beautiful smile, and her wonderful warmth and humor.

Diana Elizabeth Adams Lemmon, age 58 years, of 1140 Bridgewater Road Columbia, KY, passed away Thursday, September 3, 2009, at 2:05pmET at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, KY.

The celebration of the life of Diana Lemmon, will be Monday, Septtember. 7, 2009 at 11:00amCT, at Barnett's Creek United Methodist Church,1338 Barnett's Creek Rd. Columbia, KY, in the Pellyton community of Adair County, with Rev Troy Long, Rev. Darrin Gillespie, Rev. Laura Harris and Bro. Barry Bradshaw the officiating clergy. Interment will in Barnett's Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2:00pmCT, on Sunday, September 6, 2009, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.



Diana Elizabeth Adams Lemmon (July 31, 1951 - September 7, 2009)

She was born July 31, 1951, the daughter of the late Jessie Wilmer and Elizabeth Shaw Adams of Adair Co., KY, and died Thursday, September 3, 2009, in Louisville, KY, at the age of 58 years, 1 month and 3 days.

Survived by her husband, Bro. Michael Lemmon, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One daughter: April Beard and husband Chris, Columbia, KY

  • Three sons: Larry Lemmon and wife Missy, Columbia, KY: Matthew Lemmon and wife Amanda, Louisville, KY; and Jonathan Lemmon and longtime girlfriend Jennifer of Randleman, NC

  • A nephew: David Allen Adams, Columbia, KY

  • Four brothers: Rev. Travis Adams and wife Rose Anna, Jessie L. Adams and wife Loretta of Columbia, KY: David K. Adams, Campbellsville, KY; and Genis David Adams and wife Susan of Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Joyce Blair of Columbia, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Wade, Alec, Cole and Noah Beard; and Lukas, Lakota and Katherine Elizabeth Lemmon

  • Sisters-in-law: Verlene Adams and Betty Adams
She was a member of Barnett's Creek United Methodist Church and a homemaker.
