AC School District Infinite Campus Parent meeting Sept. 1, 2009 Meeting is at 6:00pmCT, tomorrow evening in the Adair County High Library 578 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY By Brenda Mann, Asst. Supt., Adair County Schools The Adair County School District is pleased to offer parents/guardians access to their child(ren)'s school information through the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. This is a secure web-based (internet) student data application used by the Adair School District and all public school systems in the state of Kentucky. The system provides parent/guardians access to pertinent student information including attendance, grades, assignments, class schedules, and other student demographics. Parents/guardians, students and school staff are invited to an Infinite Campus Parent Portal informational and enrollment meeting on Tuesday, September 1, 2009, at 6:00pmCT in the Adair County High School Library, 578 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY. To protect the confidentiality of student records all parent/guardians requesting a Parent Portal account must complete an Infinite Campus Parent Portal Access Request Form and present it to school staff at this meeting or at their child's school office in person along with a photo ID. At the time of enrollment, the parent guardian will be given a printout of their household information, including names, address, phone numbers, and relationships; the parent will review the information, makes corrections, if needed, and sign verifying the data is accurate. Only parents/guardian of students enrolled in the Adair County School District with legal rights to their child(ren)'s school records may receive an Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. It is not necessary for parents to set up a separate account for each of their children. Infinite Campus is based on "households," which gives each parent/guardian access to view available information for all of their children. Parents/guardians unable to attend this meeting must fill out the portal access request form in person, along with a photo ID in their child's school office. Parent Portal request forms will be available in each school office beginning September 2. To maintain strict security of student data, Parent Portal Access Request forms will not be accepted unless the parent presents the access request form, along with a photo ID in person to office personnel at their child's school. The complete Infinite Campus Parent Portal Acceptable Use Policy is available on the Adair County Board of Education website under Infinite Campus Parent Portal section at http://www.adair.k12.ky.us. For more information about the meeting or the Parent Portal Program please contact Brenda Mann at 384-2476. This story was posted on 2009-08-31 08:02:38
