Community Workforce Expo Sept. 3, 2009, in Campbellsville, KY

Campbellsville University, Campbellsville, KY, is among those partnering to sponsor a Community Workforce Readiness Expo from 6:00pm to 8:00pmET/ 5-7pmCT, Thursday, September 3, 2009, at Campbellsville Community Center, 1425 Old Hodgenville Road, Campbellsville, KY.

The agencies joining to offer this series of workshops for the local community are:


  • Office of Employment and Training
  • Cumberland Workforce Network
  • Campbellsville/Taylor County Chamber of Commerce
  • Taylor County Adult Education
  • Kentucky At Work (Kentucky Recovery Act Information)
  • Campbellsville University Technology Training Center
  • Lake Cumberland Community Action
  • Experience Works, OVR-Department for the Blind
  • Team Taylor County/Campbellsville-Taylor County Economic Development Authority
This informational event will be an opportunity for people who want to take charge of their futures whether or not they are unemployed, under-employed or seeking a job or career change. The expo will allow those attending to discover the resources the Campbellsville community has to offer.

Registration will occur for free employment training sessions in the following: basic computer, preparing a resume, job interview dos and don'ts, applying for state jobs, applying for federal jobs, job search strategies, job networking club, dealing with change, stress management, Microsoft Word/Excel/Powerpoint, exploring jobs/careers and transitioning to college.

Refreshments will be provided, and door prizes will be awarded. Must be present to win.
