Mystery shrouds disappearance of Trabue House sundial Click on headline for full story with photo By Barbara Armitage, President, Adair County Garden Club. (270) 250-2979 Something's missing at the Trabue House. Time in a garden is marked not by minutes and seconds but by the movement of the sun. Sunflowers will look each morning to the east to greet the rising sun their faces slowly turning - basking in the warmth of this bright star throughout the day. Long ago a beautiful sundial graced the center of the Trabue House Rose Garden marking time for visitors and sweet smelling blooms - help us solve the mystery of the vanishing sundial. Since the original rose garden died such an untimely death the hope is that some kind soul took the sundial into protective custody and will return it to its rightful place in the garden. With the completion of the restoration project looming near this last important detail can wait no longer. If you know the whereabouts of the sundial, please call Barbara Armitage at (270) 250-2979 all callers will remain anonymous. Sorry, the only reward offered is in beauty of the garden. Join the Adair County Garden Club and help us make Adair County a more beautiful and healthier place to live. Contact Barbara Armitage at (270) 250-2979 or email us at Adaircountygardenclub@gmail.com for more information. This story was posted on 2009-08-22 07:33:28
