Two vehicle collision on East 80 results in injuries to two By Tpr. Wm. Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY A collision occurred Wednesday, August 19, 2009, at 8:30pmCT. four miles west of Columbia on KY80. The collison occurred when a 1992 Chevy, being operated by Samantha Kuhn, age 16, of Columbia, was traveling eastbound on KY80 when she gave an improper turn signal. A 1996 Chevy, operated by Christopher Benham, age 29, of Columbia, KY, was also traveling eastbound and attempted to pass Kuhn, at which time, Kuhn pulled into the path of Benham. Kuhn and a passenger, Jason Morgan, age 19, of Columbia, KY were both belted and not injured. Benham and his 5 passengers, Jamie Benham, age 20, Annie Benham, age 10, Kimberly Sinclair, age 20, and Dale Shibley, age 22 were all belted at the time of the collision. Sinclair and Shibley were transported to the Westlake Regional Hospital for minor injuries. The collision is being investigated by Trooper Greg Brown who was assisted at the scene by Sergeant Chris Knifley and Adair County EMS.
