L.E.A.D. Adair County taking applications for 2009-10 class By Lee Ann Jessee L.E.A.D. Adar County is now accepting applications for the 2009-2010 class. Applications are accepted for individuals 18 and up and there is no limit on class size. Since the first class graduated from Brushy Fork Institute at Berea College in 2004, 41 Adair Countians have completed the training to become a part of L.E.A.D. Adair County. Ask any one of them about their experience, and, if their's is similar to mine, it was great. Many graduates will tell you that L.E.A.D. Adair County has even marked a major turning point in their lives. We like to think L.E.A.D. Adair County is making a very positive impact on our community. To the best of my knowledge, here is the list of LEAD participants beginning with the original Brushy Fork Team: Brushy Fork Team 2004
If you are interested in seeing Adair County move forward then this is the group for you. You will learn about different leadership styles, teamwork and you will be given opportunities to explore Adair County. Registraion deadline is August 17, 2009. You may pick up an applicaion at the Chamber of Commerce, 201 Burkesville ST, Columbia, KY, or contact Ellen Zornes at (270) 250-3400, Lee Ann Jessee at (270) 634-2935 or Kaye Bowman at (270) 384-0750.
