Obituary: Steve Allen Beard Rogers, 55, Adair Co., KY

Mr. Rogers was a member of a large, respected northern Adair County family and was a sawmill worker

Steve Allen Beard Rogers, 55, Columbia, KY, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at 8:09amCT, at Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room.

The funeral service will be Friday, August 7, 2009, at 1:00pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Brow. Ralh Foster and Bro. Allen Durrett officiating. Burial will be in Milltown Cemetery, 3190 Milltown Church RD, Columbia, KY in the Milltown Community. Visitation will be after 4:00pmCT, Thursday, August 6, 2009, at the funeral home.

He was born December 18, 1953, a son of the late M.L. "Buster" and Flossie Rogers Beard and was a sawmill worker. He is survived by his wife, Esther Willis Rogers, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons and daughters in law: Kerry and Kendra Rogers, Somerset, KY; and Lloyd and Melanie Willis xxxx of Columbia, KY

  • Two brothers and sisters in law: Tim and Cami Beard, Milltown, KY; and David and Angi Beard of Columbia, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Kaleb and Laura Willis

  • Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
