Homeplace on Green River is about preservation Written on reading: Johnnietta Janes would like early photos of Breeding By Billy Joe Fudge I would like to take the opportunity to tell folks that the Homeplace On Green River located over in the edge of Taylor County is not only a working farm and a heritage farm but a place for the folks of Adair County, Green County, Taylor County, and South Central Kentucky to preserve many of the artifacts and much of the history of our rural culture. Although our old website is now down and our new one is under construction we want folks to know that they can contact me for information concerning the Homeplace On Green River. We truly believe that a student's education is not complete until they have had the opportunity to see, touch, and feel the past. The Homeplace On Green River is owned by a non-profit corporation which is governed by a 24 member board with members from Green, Adair, and Taylor Counties. Although the physical farm is located just over in Taylor County less than a mile from Green County and less than 2 miles from Adair County it essentially belongs to all of us.
