Obituary: Kizzie Marie Wisdom, 90, Hoopeston, IL

Mrs. Wisdom was a former resident of Edmonton, KY, and formerly attended church at Chestnut Grove Christian Church in Adair County. She will be returned to Kentucky for her funeral in Edmonton and burial at Breeding, Adair County, KY

Kizzie Marie Wisdom, 90, Hoopeston, IL, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Hoopeston Community Hospital in Hoopeston, IL.

The funeral services will be held at 1:00pmCT, Saturday, August 1, 2009, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East ST, Edmonton, KY. Burial will be in the Chestnut Grove Cemetery, 54 Chestnut Grove RD, Breeding, Adair Co., KY. Visitation in Edmonton will be from 10:00amCT until time for the service on Saturday, August 1, 2009, at Butler Funeral Home. Visitation at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 East Main ST, Hoopeston, IL.



She was the daughter of the late William and Lucreti England Jessee.

She, along with her late husband, Elijah (Chic) Wisdom were former residents of Edmonton, KY. KIzzie Wisdom was a homemaker and attended Chestnut Street Church of Christ in Hoopeston and the Chestnut Grove Christian Church in Breeding, Adair Co., KY, while residing in Edmonton, KY.

She enjoyed quilting, her grandchildren and family get togethers.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son: Wallis, and his wife Betty Wisdom, Hoopeston, IL

  • One brother in law: James Wisdom, Hoopeston, IL

  • Five grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 19 great great grandchildren

  • Several nieces and nephews
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six sisters and several nieces and nephews.

Butler Funeral Home is in charge of local funeral arrangements.
