Obituary: Wendell R. Cook, 66, Jamestown, KY native Mr. Cook was a member of a respected Russell County, KY family Wendell R. Cook, age 66, was born July 2, 1943 to the late Cyrus R. and Mildred Kennedy Cook in Jamestown, Ky and returned to his Heavenly Father July 29, 2009. Mr. Cook was superintendent for Rouck Plumbing Company, a U.S. Navy Veteran, a Masonic brother and former member of the Fairdale Jaycees. The funeral service will be held at 10:00amET, on Saturday, August 1, 2009, at Schoppenhorst Underwood & Brooks Funeral Home, 4895 North Preston Hwy. Shepherdsville, KY (Preston Hwy. at Brooks Rd.) with interment in Dunbar Cemetery in Jamestown, KY. Friends may pay their respects from 12:00pmET until 8:00pmET on Friday, July 31, 2009, at Schoppenhorst. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Sarah Ann Richards Cook; daughter, Judy Ann Cottrell (Goose); son, Wendell Allen Cook (Jennifer); sisters Barbara Russell and Nora Brown; brothers Larry and Terry Cook; grandchildren, Cory, Jared and Rachel; a host of nephews, nieces, other family and friends. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to American Diabetes Association.
