Paschall Inks with Lindsey Wilson College Softball By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director COLUMBIA, KY - It didn't take long for new softball coach Ashley McCool to add to her first incoming recruiting class. Morgan Paschall has signed with the Blue Raiders for the 2010 season, McCool announced on Friday. Paschall, a junior pitcher / first base transfer from Columbia State Community College, will have two seasons of eligibility remaining. The Nolensville, TN, native, helped Columbia State to a 39-15 record last season while leading the team in wins, earned run average and strikeouts. She also batted .326 with 10 runs and 12 runs batted in at the plate. "Morgan is a great player and pitcher. She brings a lot of experience to the team and is very smart," McCool said. "She will give our pitching staff great depth. I could not have asked for a better addition this late in the year. We are very excited to have her join our team." Paschall finished last season with an 18-3 record and a 1.09 ERA on the mound. She struck out 120 batters in 135 innings en route to being named third team All Tennessee Junior College Athletic Association. Paschall is the first official signee for McCool who took over the program in June. This story was posted on 2009-07-24 14:59:23
