Tour SEKY will discuss Equestrian Game opportunities

SOMERSET, Ky. - A top Kentucky Department of Travel official will speak to Tour SEKY in Somerset on Tuesday August 18, 2009, about opportunities to promote destinations and attractions during the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games coming to Kentucky in 2010.

Cheryl Hatcher, chief sales and marketing officer for the travel department, will discuss her role as project manager for the Kentucky Experience.



The Kentucky Experience is a pavilion that will be set up during the 16-day games which are known world-wide as the Olympics of the horse that will be assembled on the grounds of the Kentucky Horse Park in conjunction with the games.

The "Experience" will provide an all-encompassing sample of the experiences Kentucky has to offer. Hundreds of thousands of participants are expected and will see, hear, taste and interact with all of the special experiences one can enjoy throughout Kentucky - all in one place. In her remarks on August 18, 2009 at a Tour SEKY meeting in Somerset, Hatcher will discuss the region's opportunities with the games. The title of the workshop and presentation is "Kick It Up a Notch." Hatcher will speak from 10am to 11:45amET at the Center for Rural Development, 2292 S Highway 27 #260, Somerset, KY 42501-2905
