Poetry: A haiku inspired by Jim Hayes' school picture

About: Jim Hayes Concord School photo 1940s

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I love this photograph. It reminds me of photographs from my own elementary school days in '40s and '50s. I felt inspired to write a haiku:
I won't show my fear
and I will unflinching face
a world I don't know.
- Robert Stone

Robert Stone is well known to ColumbiaMagazine.com readers for his poetry, theatre reviews, and less well known as the editor for Tom Chaney's wonderful stories. He lives in Lebanon, TN. His latest theatre review is on the play, Red, White, and Tuna scheduled this weekend at the Kentucky Repertory Theatre in Horse Cave, KY.
