Likes to see dates of birth and death of deceased in articles About: Site news A look at obituary policy on ColumbiaMagazinecom To ColumbiaMagazine.com: I am an avid family historian and have many family members in the Adair County area. I look forward to reading the Columbia Magazine each day. The obituaries are a valuable resource for me. I especially like the fact that birthdates are given in the obituaries provided by Stotts-Phelps-McQueary. That is much more accurate tha an age only. Keep up the good work, many of us appreciate you! s/A Jane Goodwin Thanks. In almost all recent obituaries, for both Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home and Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, we've been able to post birthdates, and many of the other area funeral homes and obituary writers also send that information. -EW This story was posted on 2009-07-21 06:41:23
