Summer Safari Arts Camp students create 4 mini barn quilts

Work is on display at ACES and Adair Co. Extension office

The Community Connection Family Resource Center at Adair Elementary and the Adair County 4-H program provided a Summer SAFARI Arts Camp for interested students the week of July 13, 2009. Twenty local students participated in this camp and enjoyed such activities as ceramics, painting, sewing and seat weaving. Students also created four mini barn quilts during the camp. These quilts will be placed at Adair Elementary, 870 Indian Drive Columbia, KY, and the Adair Extension Office, 409 Fairground ST, Columbia, KY. Camp instructors were Debbie Cowan, Tony Rose and Paula Bault.

Summer Safari barn quilts

Mr. Tony Rose, Adair County Extension 4-H advisor, and several of the Summer SAFARI Arts Camp students display the mini barn quilts. Camp participants were: Sarah, Preston, Rachel, Brittany , Courtney, Mercedes, Angel, Katrina, Jessica, Jenna, Katelynn, Gabe, McGregor, Abigail, Reese, Camellia, Rhianna, Savannah, Lilly, and Bethany.
