Overcorrection factor in KY 70 injury crash

Driver taken to Casey Co. Hospital, then airlifted to UK

CASEY CO., KY - Trooper Adam Likins is investigating a collision that occurred at 1:45pmCT today on KY Hwy 70, approximately 12 miles west of Liberty. 40 year old Rebecca Watson, of Hustonville, was operating a 2001 Oldsmobile westbound on KY Hwy 70, when she lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway.



Watson overcorrected, lost control of the vehicle, and struck a tree. Watson was transported by Casey County EMS to the Casey County Hospital, where she was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. A passenger in Watsons vehicle, 7 year old Erica Watson, of Hustonville was not injured. Both occupants were wearing a seatbelt.
