Adair Co. Republicans supporting the ACHS Band By J. Brandon Thompson, Public Relations Officer Adair County Republican Party As the date quickly approaches, the Adair County Republican Party has teamed up with the Adair County High School Marching Band in an effort to help push them over their fundraising goal for their upcoming trip to New York City's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Adair GOP and the Band will be holding a joint fundraiser at the Adair County Fair July 6-11. The County Republicans will have a dunking booth at the fairgrounds from Monday, July 6 - Saturday, July 11, 2009 each night starting at 6 pm CT. Half of all the proceeds raised from the Dunking Booth will go to the Adair County Marching Band's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Fund. "We are so fortunate to have the Adair County Republican Party support our fund raising efforts toward the Macy's trip to New York." said Tim Allen, former Director of the Adair County High School Marching Band, and current Director of the Lindsey Wilson College Band. The Adair Co. Republican Party Executive Committee and Elected Officials would like to encourage all Adair Countians to come out to the fair and enjoy the festivities. And while there, stop by the Dunking Booth, and help raise much needed funds for the Adair County High School Marching Band and dunk a few local 'celebrities'. Also, everyone is invited to stop by the Republican Party giveaway booth to register to win one of two $50.00 Wal-Mart gift cards, and two $50.00 gas cards that will be given away on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at the fairgrounds. The Adair Co. GOP asks you to stop by the booth, say hello, and sign up for these FREE giveaways. This story was posted on 2009-07-02 12:48:59
