CU Luncheon at SCC honors student successes By Christina Miller, Student News Writer CAMPBELLSVILLE, KY (06/23/2009)(readMedia)-- Students who recently graduated from Somerset Community College were honored by Campbellsville University at a luncheon at SCC recently. Campbellsville University faculty and staff congratulated graduates of the criminal justice and early childhood education programs who received bachelor of science and associate of science degrees. The students were encouraged to continue their education at Campbellsville University. Also, faculty and staff and faculty who work with Campbellsville University at the Somerset Community College extended campus were honored. Welcoming the graduates was Dr. Tony Honeycutt, provost at Somerset Community College, and Dr. Frank Cheatham, vice president for academic affairs at Campbellsville University. Cheatham introduced Dr. Keith Spears, Campbellsville University's new vice president for regional and professional education. Brandy Coomer recognized all of the Somerset Community College 2009 graduates. Donna Eastham recognized the Somerset Community College and ECE graduates. Larry Creason recognized Stacy Cochran, Campbellsville University and Somerset Community College graduate. In May, Cochran graduated from Campbellsville University's criminal justice program at the Somerset campus receiving a bachelor of science degree. Twenty-four students graduated from the criminal justice program at SCC with an associate of science: Ian T. Bray, Stephanie Faye Burkett, Mary Ann Daugherty, Beverly Mae Davis, Ashley S. Denham, Loretta Mae Dickerson, Belinda Dishon, William Andrew Ellington, Deborah A. Gibson, Kayla Nichole Gray, Alan Curtis Thomas Hill, Angela M. Hubbard, Blackie Johnson, Brandon Stephen, Ashley Kinnett, Monica Kamelia Marshall, Amanda Renee Maxwell, Jordon Parker Neikirk, Jessica A. Rednour, William Howard Scott, Elijah Blue Sexton and Tammy L. Stewart.Sixteen students graduated from the early childhood program with an associate of science at SCC: Tiffany N. Anderson, Jennifer Carol Brown, Tracie Diane Brummett, Mary P. Burton, Amanda R. Couch, Petula Ethel Dobbs, Janet B. Elam, Jeanava A. Frazier, Patricia Louise King, Sherri Lynn King, Sharon R. Lowe, Amy Martin, Kacie J. Moore, Tonya L. Scalf, Angela M. Singleton and Sharon M. Young.
