Hetrick, Morgan sign with LWC Track & Field By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director Lindsey Wilson track & field coach Edwin Hagans announced two additions on Thursday, June 18, 2009, to the team for the 2009-10 season. Union County High's Kyle Hetrick and Henderson County High's Omni Morgan becomes the 18th and 19th student-athletes to sign with the Blue Raiders for the upcoming season. "Were excited about both signees and their potential in their given discipline," Hagans said. "Kyle has tremendous work ethic and the competiveness to continue to get better in jumps. We expect Omni to get better on a daily basis as she works to lower her time in sprints. "Both add talented depth to our incoming freshman class." Hetrick finished fifth in both the long jump and the triple jump at the Class 2A Region 1 Championships in mid-May. In the event, Hetrick jumped 18 feet and 8 inches in the long jump and 38-7.50 feet in the triple jump. He scored two points in each event to help Union County to an eighth place team finish. Morgan finished third in the 100 meter dash and helped her relay team to a second place finish in the 4x400 meters. Morgan ran her 100 meters in 13.51 seconds and had a hand in 19 points over four events for Henderson County. This story was posted on 2009-06-19 00:52:40
