To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I have the program from the 21st District Basketball Tournament that was played at the Columbia High School March 7 & 8, 1941. Some of the teams that played were Breeding, Columbia, Cub Run and Glensfork, and more. Some Columbia players were James Phelps, J.C. Marshall, Raymond Young, James Kemp, James Maupin and others.

J. E. Gambill was the Acting Columbia High School Coach.

Dr. Ron Rogers basketball program

Two inside pages of Dr. Rogers collectible program include ads, all or almost all, from Columbia, KY, and information on the Cub Run, Glensfork, Greensburg, and Horse Cave teams. Willis Pressing Shop, at the time, was on Jamestown Street, in the Russell Building; Baldwin Cash Grocery was on the Square, in the strip from today's Arnold Museum Building to Arnold's Firestone Building. Adair Sales was the Ford Dealership, owned by Morris Epperson and Louis Merkley. The Walker Taxi Co. ad was apparently paid for by Allen Young, father of Jeff Young. The Hotel Barber Shop was at the corner of Greensburg ST and the Public Square. Any other information or comments would be appreciated.
