Henry Sullivan was way ahead when it came to music

About: Carol Perkins The Gift of Music the story of her father, Uncles Lonzo and Oscar, and the very, very musical Sullivans -and Acrees - of Metcalfe Co., KY

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I can vouch for Henry's ability to play music. My brother, Teddy, and I played with him for a short while in a band. We played until he figured out we were not good enough to play music with the Sullivans. He was way ahead of us in musical ability.

It was fun being around him and some of the other musicians. He always had lots of patience with us young boys who had learned to play trombones in the Greensburg High School band.

I love to read Carol's articles - she is a good writer.

s/Gary T. Lane
