Thank you, Ed for posting the story of our lost Cocker Spaniel, Ginger.

Also thanks to those who helped look for her last night. We were away on vacation, 12 hours away and not due back until Sunday, when we got a call from the person who was feeding and checking in on our 2 dogs saying she couldn't find Ginger in the house or in the fenced-in backyard.

We packed up and left for home, driving all night. Someone must have taken her out over the fence and then for some reason decided not to take her, maybe because they saw she had been spayed and they needed a pure breed Cocker Spaniel for breeding purposes and instead of putting her back in the fence, they just left her out and she must have gone to the road and was hit and killed.

Now we are waiting for the road department to bring her to us so we can bury her. Ginger was a member of our family and we love her very much and we are all devastated because someone wanted to take a dog that didn't belong to them.

I stil! l can't believe this has happened. I know this has happened to many others in Adair County and if anyone knows who is stealing these dogs, please let the proper authorities know.

From a very sad and heart-broken Betty Sue.
