Relay for Life: Quitters Lap and Kids Fighting Cancer Lap

By Jelaine Phillips

Just a reminder to everyone that Relay is this Friday night. Once again we will celebrate with those who have lowered their cancer risk by giving up tobacco with the "Quitters Lap." This is for anyone who has given up tobacco use since last years relay. Giving up tobacco is a huge accomplishment and those who do should be proud, so come out and celebrate.

All children are encouraged to come out and walk the "Kids Fighting Cancer Lap" as a way of bringing awareness to the importance of eating fruits and vegetables, not only in cancer prevention but in helping your body with the fight if you have cancer or are recovering. Relay starts at 6:00pmCT, at Booster Field, 224 General John Adair DR, Columbia, KYand the walks will be between 6:30pmCT and 7:30pmCT.
