UCB Robbery update from Chief Mark Harris Local officers on case; FBI notified. Chief says suspect may have been man seen walking int he rain behind Jeffries Hardware. Similarities to unsolved recent daylight Citizens Bank robbery on February 28, 2009, in Campbellsville, KY. "He was very businesslike. To the point," Chief Harris said. "He got the money and left on foot." More will be posted as received. Chief Harris comparing details with Campbellsville Police, coordinating investigations. -EW At 8:33amCT this morning, Wednesday, June 10, 2009, the Columbia Police Department received a call to respond to a Bank Robbery at United Citizens Bank at 700 Jamestown ST. The perpetrator entered the bank and approached the teller window and brandished a hand gun and demanded money. The suspect left the bank on foot. He was wearing a green hooded rain jacket, blue pants and white athletic shoes. The suspect is white male approximately 5'9"-6'0" 200-220 pounds. The suspect is armed with a black semi-auto handgun. Anyone with additional information can contact Columbia Police Department or any Local Law Enforcement agency. (Kentucky State Police, or Adair County Sheriffs Department).
