Obituary: Georgia Ann Miller, 92, Cane Valley, KY

She was the matriarch of a large, respected family, leaving 41 living descendants. She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Georgia Ann Miller, 92, formerly of the Cane Valley Community of Adair County, died Monday, June 9, 2009, at 10:45pm, at Highland Nursing and Rehab in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service will be Saturday, June 13, 2009, at 12:00pmCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Rev. Michael Caldwell officiating. Burial will be in the Bridgewater Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home after 10:00amCT, Saturday, June 13, 2009.


She was a daugher of the late home and Cleo Tate Bridgewaters, the widow of Bert Miller, and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Rose.

Survivors include the following:
  • Two daughters: Jessie Shrivers and Betty Jo Harris, both of Louisville, KY

  • One son: David Lee Miller, Cane Valley, KY

  • One brother: Paul David Bridgewaters, Louisville, KY

  • One sister: Pina Lee Anderson, Louisivllle, KY
And eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren
