2009 ACHS Golf Scramble winners announced First Place Winners: Doug Lewis, Eric Karnes, Craig Pyles, Marvin Calhoun Click on headline for full story + pictures(s) as posted By Kim Goodin The ACHS Golf Team Scramble held this past weekend at The Pines at Lindsey Wilson was a huge success. There was a total of 62 participants this year. Several community members and friends of the golf team dropped by and made monetary donations even though they couldn't stay to participate. We feel very fortunate to have the support that we do for our golfers. We would list them all but wouldn't want to accidently leave someone out. Here are the major winners: The longest drive on hole 18 was won by Josh Myers.Closest to the pin prizes went to Jordan Shelton, Tyler Royse, Eric Coomer, Randy Coomer, Each golfer in the tournament had an opportunity to leave with a door prize for participating. The first place team was Doug Lewis, Eric Karnes, Craig Pyles, Marvin Calhoun, They finished with a 56 which is 16 under par for the round. There was a tie for second place with a 58 The teams chose to combine the 2nd & 3rd place prizes rather than have a playoof. One team was Chaz Giles, Josh Myers, Doyle Powell, Leon Lewis and the other was Chris Wells, Tommy Steele,Kevin Bell, Doug Kerr. The boys' and girls' golf team, Coach Kim Goodin, Coach Steve Burton, and boosters would like to thank all those individuals that participated in the the fund raiser and invite you back next year. We would also like to thank the individuals and businesses that made donations and /or contributed door prizes. Special thanks to all parents, grandparents, and other friends and family that helped with the tournament. We couldn't do it without you! This story was posted on 2009-06-09 05:13:26
