Obituary: Tunce Willie Motley, 84, Campbellsville, KY

Mr. Motley was a member of a respected Adair County family, and of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. He was a US Navy veteran and a farmer

Tunce Willie Motley, 84, Campbellsville, KY, formerly of Adair Co., KY, died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at 3:55amET, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville, KY.

The funeral service will be thursday, June 11, 2009, at 100pmCT, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 4538 Cane Valley Mill Road, Columbia, KY with Rev. Thomas Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in Bridgewater Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00amCT, Thursday, June 11amCT, at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.



He was the son of the late Raymond and Pearl Ingram Motley, a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, a US Navy Veteran and a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Groves Motley, Campbellsville, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Ricky Groves, Cincinnati, OH; and Timmy Groves, Campbellsville, KY

  • One daughter: Janet Groves, Campbellsville, KY

  • Four grandchildren

  • And several nieces and nephews
