Fair Idol is new contest for 2009 Adair Co. Fair Click on Headline for Complete Story + Headline PRINTABLE 2007 ADAIR COUNTY POSTER by Greg ThomasSpecial ColumbiaMagazine.com story The Adair County Fair held auditions this past Saturday night for a new event, Fair Idol, which will be taking place at the 2009 Adair County Fair in July. The six finalist are: Chasity Cowan, Columbia, KY; Carli Lloyd, Somerset, KY; Paige Hutchison, Columbia, KY; Janeth Stamper, Columbia, KY; Fletcher Bell, Russell Springs, KY; and Charissa Gosser, Liberty, KY. Twenty-six solo acts auditioned for six spots. They will compete starting on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, on the main track for the title of 2009 Adair County Fair Idol. Each night following their performances the fair goers will have a chance to cast a vote for their favorite act from that night. This, in combination with the judges, will decide who goes forward and who is eliminated that night.The winner on Saturday night will get $700 and the runner up will get $300.
