Columbia City Pool opens today, Saturday, May 30, 2009 The Columbia City Pool will be opening Saturday, May 30, 2009 for the Summer. The admission will be $2.00 a day and three year olds and under are free with a paying adult. The regular pool hours for this summer will be Monday - Saturday, Noon to 5:00pmCT and Sundays 1:00pm to 5pmCT. The pool is located at the City Park, in the Adair County Fairgrounds, 313 Fairgrounds ST, Columbia, KY. The pool offers a large swim area that ranges from three feet deep to ten feet with a diving board on the deep end. There is also water volleyball and basketball in the large pool. A kiddy pool is located beside the main pool that ranges from 18 inches to nine inches deep with a patio deck around it for sunning. Refreshments such as hot dogs, candy bars, and soft drinks are available at the snack bar. Parties may be booked by calling (270) 384-1704 during regular pool hours. The cost of a party is $60 for two hours with up to 40 people, or $75 for two hours with 41 people or more. Additional time may be added to each party price for an additional fee.
