Obituary: Kennith Ray Goff, 77, Campbellsville, KY

Mr. Goff was the head of a prominent Green/Taylor Mercantile family. He was a farmer and entrereneur, who co-owned Green Co. Milling, established first Massey Ferguson dealership in Green County and Goff Manufactured Homes; and was a land developer. He remained active in business all his life. He was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church.

Mr. Kennith Ray Goff of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Naples, FL, son of the late Terry Leslie Goff and Alice Vaughn Goff, was born on March 11, 1932 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was 77 years, two months and 16 days of age.

The funeral services for Mr. Kennith Ray Goff will be conducted at 2:00pmCT Sunday, May 31, 2009 at the Campbellsville Christian Church, 302 Lebanon AV, Campbellsville, KY with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg RD, Campbellsville, KY. Rev. Joe Hatchett and Rev. Roger Pepper will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 5:00 - 9:00pmCT, Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY and after 1:00pmCT, Sunday, May 31, 2009, at the Campbellsville Christian Church until time of the funeral service.



He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was an active member of the Campbellsville Christian Church.

He was a local entrepreneur that began life as a farmer. He was the co-owner of Green County Milling Company for many years. He established the first Massey Ferguson Implement Dealership in the county. He went on to be a land developer and partner in the coal mining industry. In 1969 he founded Goff Manufactured Homes in Greensburg. The business later moved to Campbellsville. He remained active in the business throughout the rest of his life.

On December 22, 1951 he married the love of his life Opal Pepper. To this union they were blessed with two children: Eddie Goff and his wife Jackie Lynn of Campbellsville, and Valerie Goff Thomasen and her husband Billy D. of Cincinnati; also surviving are two grandchildren: Olivia Claire Thomasen and Chandler Joseph Goff Thomasen both of Cincinnati; one brother: Terry W. Goff of Bowling Green; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
