Amshoff resigns as LWC tennis and volleyball coach

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Chuck Amshoff has resigned as the Lindsey Wilson College tennis and volleyball coach, school officials announced on Wednesday, May 27, 2009.A national search will begin immediately to find Amshoff's successor.




"We will begin an immediate search to find the very best coach for each program," said Lindsey Wilson Athletics Director Willis Pooler. "Our goal is to find a coach that embraces our mission and has the student-athlete's best interest at heart while continuing to lead our volleyball and tennis programs to national prominence.

"We wish Coach Amshoff all the best in his future endeavors."

Amshoff led the women's tennis program to a 30-9 record and the men's program to a 25-11 mark in his two seasons. Both teams won back-to-back Mid-South Conference regular season and tournament titles and the women advanced to the NAIA national semifinals each of his two seasons. Amshoff led the volleyball program to a 43-33 mark in two seasons.
