ACMS Academic team members at International this weekend

Future Problem Solers will be trying to better their previous two attempts when A-team ended up 3rd in the World!

ACMS Academic Team members Roslin Wilson, Emmalee Baker, Abby Walker, and Alison Feese will compete at the International Championships of Future Problem Solving this weekend on the campus of Michigan State University in East Lansing.

The competition will begin Thursday, May 28, with the opening ceremonies featuring over 50 separate worldwide affiliates, including representative teams from 4 different continents. Altogether, this will add up to approximately 70 schools/teams from across the globe that Adair County will be matched up against.

Sunday, May 31, 2009 will conclude the event with the awards ceremony where final results will be announced.

The team qualified in March at the 2009 State Governor's Cup Championships. This is the Adair County school district's third year in a row of qualification for this level of competition, a feat matched by only one other school district in the state of Kentucky. Adair has finished 3rd in the world in their previous two attempts.
