50 Years of basketball a great idea

About: Adair County RFL event 50 Years of Basketball

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I hope that this event has a huge turnout.

All of the areas that hosted the former county schools are still very much alive with local loyalties and pride, and I would love to have to opportunity to see this on display one more time in this one collective setting. I am sorry that I cannot be there due to another major obligation, but I will be there in spirit as the renewed friendly rivalries flare up one last time.

The county school revival matched with the continued tradition, pride, and legacy of Columbia/John Adair/ACMS graduates has had me interested in the event since I first heard about it.

I most definitely have a side that I'm loyal to (won't be difficult to figure out who), but on a grander scale - regardless of the number of people that turn out - it's the "home" and "local pride" mentality that I know exist within ALL of the communities involved (not just my own) that gets me enthused about an event like this.

Thanks to the organizers for being willing to host this event. I think it's a great idea and wish everyone from every school the same amount of fun I know I would have if I could be there.

s/Brett Reliford
