Obituary: Bertha McCubbin Berry, 90, Green Co., KY Mrs. Berry was the matriarch of a large, respected Green County family. She leaves 147 living descendants. She was a member of the Allendale Missionary Baptist Church and a homemaker Click on headline for complete story with photo Mrs. Bertha Matilda McCubbin Berry of Summersville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Elam McCubbin and Lillie Wilson McCubbin was born on October 5, 1918 in Green County, Kentucky and departed this life on Monday, May 25, 2009 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg. She was 90 years, seven months and 20 days of age. The funeral services for Mrs. Bertha McCubbin Berry will be conducted at 1:00pmCT, Wednesday, May 27, 2009. at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main ST, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Bennett Cemetery in Green County. KY. Bro. Mickey Pruitt will be officiating. Visitation is requested from 3:00 to 9:00pmCT, Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7:00amCT, Wednesday, May 27, 2009, until time of the funeral service. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Allendale Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She united in marriage to Otha Berry on January 2, 1936 who preceded her in death on April 17, 1973.Survivors include the following:
